TLDR Cedrol-loaded microneedles effectively promote hair growth.

The study developed dissolvable microneedles loaded with cedrol on a flexible backing to deliver the compound directly to the dermis, enhancing drug concentration in hair follicles. The microneedles, made with cedrol and polyvinylpyrrolidone K25, demonstrated good mechanical properties and efficient skin penetration in tests. Pharmacodynamical studies on C57BL/6 mice showed that these microneedles effectively promoted hair growth. The results suggest that cedrol-loaded dissolvable microneedles could be a promising treatment for hair loss.
