Reprofiling Synthetic Glucocorticoid-Induced Leucine Zipper Fusion Peptide as a Novel and Effective Hair Growth Promoter

    This study investigates the synthetic glucocorticoid-induced leucine zipper fusion peptide, TAT-GILZ, as a potential hair growth promoter. Conducted on 9–12 week-old male BALB/c and nude mice, the research found that TAT-GILZ accelerated hair growth on depilated skin and induced growth on athymic mice. The peptide enhanced hair follicle stem cells and increased counter-inflammatory signals, such as regulatory T cells and glucocorticoid receptors, suggesting TAT-GILZ as a promising alternative therapy for hair growth by boosting stem cell activity and maintaining homeostasis.
