TLDR KY19382 helps regrow hair and create new hair follicles.
The research paper discusses the effects of a novel activator, KY19382, on hair regrowth and hair follicle neogenesis. The study found that KY19382 activated Wnt/ß-catenin signalling, increased the expression of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and the proliferation marker PCNA in dermal papilla cells, increased hair length in ex vivo-cultured mouse vibrissa and human hair follicles, and induced hair regrowth in mice. Additionally, KY19382 significantly promoted the generation of new hair follicles. The results suggest that KY19382 could be a potential therapeutic drug for alopecia treatments due to its effective hair regeneration ability via activation of the Wnt/ß-catenin signalling.
