TLDR Recognizing skin symptoms helps diagnose and treat frontal fibrosing alopecia.
Frontal fibrosing alopecia (FFA) is an inflammatory scarring hair loss condition linked to lichen planopilaris, often accompanied by non-follicular skin manifestations such as lichen planus pigmentosus, implantation line hypochromia, and facial papules. This article aims to detail these extra-follicular cutaneous symptoms and explore their significance in diagnosing and treating FFA, highlighting the importance of recognizing these manifestations for effective patient management.
