TLDR CGF injections may safely and effectively promote hair growth in androgenetic alopecia patients.
This retrospective study assessed the safety and efficacy of concentrated growth factors (CGF) for hair growth in 15 androgenetic alopecia (AGA) patients over 6 months. Results showed a significant increase in mean hair density by about 40 hairs/cm² and a hair growth ratio of 1.54±0.10, both with p<0.01. Both patients and doctors reported satisfactory improvements, with mean GAIS scores of 1.93±0.88 and 1.67±0.72, respectively. No adverse effects were noted, and 20% of patients reported reduced greasy hair texture, itching, or burning sensations. The study suggests CGF injections as a promising AGA treatment but recommends further research with larger, controlled trials.
