TLDR GFC injections significantly improved hair growth and quality with minimal side effects.
This study investigated the effectiveness of growth factor concentrate (GFC) injections for treating androgenic alopecia in five patients. GFC was administered subcutaneously into the scalp, and results were assessed at two and eight weeks post-treatment using macroscopic and trichoscopic microphotographs. The findings showed significant improvement in hair density and quality, with the hair pull test yielding negative results at the eight-week follow-up. Patients reported high satisfaction with the treatment, noting faster hair growth, better hair quality, and minimal side effects.
