TLDR Modified Changfa Zirong Powder improves hair growth in androgenetic alopecia.
The study investigates the effects of Modified Changfa Zirong Powder (MCFZRS) on androgenetic alopecia (AGA) using a mouse model. MCFZRS, a traditional herbal formulation, was shown to reduce skin androgen levels and modulate the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, which is crucial for hair growth. The treatment improved hair growth parameters, such as length and weight, and enhanced skin histology by increasing dermal thickness, follicle numbers, and collagen fibers. MCFZRS demonstrated superior efficacy compared to the original formulation, Changfa Zirong Powder (CFZRS), highlighting its potential as a therapeutic option for AGA.
