Observation on the Efficacy of a Combined Treatment for Moderate and Severe Androgenetic Alopecia Incorporating Electric Microneedles

    The study evaluated the efficacy and safety of a combined treatment for moderate and severe androgenetic alopecia (AGA) in 83 patients using electric microneedles along with medications like finasteride, minoxidil, spironolactone, and ethinyl estradiol cyproterone. After 12 weeks, all patients showed improvement, with 19.3% showing marked improvement, 42.1% moderate improvement, and 38.6% mild improvement. Hair root counts increased significantly, indicating the treatment's effectiveness. The study concluded that the combined treatment is effective, simple to operate, and has mild side effects, making it a promising option for AGA treatment.
