Studysummary In this study, Biosea® Revive serum, containing biotinoyl tripeptide-1 and Phyllanthus emblica extract, was found to improve hair density and quality in a 90-day clinical trial without adverse effects, offering a potential natural solution for hair growth. Our plain-language summary of this paper — not a Tressless recommendation.
The study assessed the safety and efficacy of Biosea® Revive Serum (BRS) for hair growth through in vitro and clinical evaluations. In vitro tests showed that BRS enhanced human hair dermal papilla cell proliferation, reduced reactive oxygen species, and lowered 5α-reductase expression, with effects comparable to Minoxidil. A 90-day clinical trial with 40 participants (20 males and 20 females) demonstrated improved hair density and quality, particularly reducing transepidermal water loss in women, without adverse effects. The use of nanotechnology in BRS formulation enhanced the bioavailability and effectiveness of active ingredients. Overall, BRS is concluded to be a safe and effective long-term solution for enhancing hair follicle health.
