Low-dose oral minoxidil was reported effective across non-scarring alopecias, with hypertrichosis and postural hypotension the commonest adverse effects. Adding finasteride, laser, or microneedling to minoxidil was found to beat minoxidil alone. Topical finasteride was concluded effective with a favorable safety profile. A beveled FUE punch directs grafts centrally and reduces follicle transection during harvesting. PRP graft preservation increased density versus saline. PRP for androgenetic alopecia was found to raise density, though evidence remains qualitative. Home-use microneedling with minoxidil showed the best, nonsignificant hair-count gains. SULT1A1 variants reportedly predict oral minoxidil response. Persistent post-finasteride symptoms were linked to penile vascular abnormalities; two subjects died by suicide.
