The Carnivore Follicular Integrity Framework (CFIF) is a theoretical model exploring how animal-based diets may support hair follicle stability through evolutionary and mechanistic pathways. It emphasizes the role of GHK-Cu, a tripeptide involved in collagen synthesis and other regenerative processes, suggesting that high trophic diets rich in amino acids, minerals, and bioavailable nutrients create a favorable biochemical environment for hair follicle health. The framework contrasts animal-sourced nutrients with plant-based antinutrients, proposing that the former supports keratin formation and hormonal stability, while the latter may disrupt these processes. CFIF also highlights the importance of reduced glycation and improved microvascular function for nutrient delivery to hair follicles. Although not a clinical guideline, CFIF offers a hypothesis with measurable predictions that can be tested to further understand the interaction between diet, regenerative peptides, and hair follicle stability.
