TLDR A semi-automated system can effectively help choose emulsion ingredients, simplifying the creation of medicinal and cosmetic products.
The study explores the use of a biocomplex of surfactants based on rhamnolipids Pseudomonas sp. PS-17 (biocomplex PS) as an emulsifier and co-emulsifier in dermatological emulsions. By employing computer simulation methods in the MO Excel program, the research aims to optimize the composition of oil phases and emulsifiers in medicinal and cosmetic emulsions, reducing the need for extensive experimental trials. The study demonstrates that a semi-automated modelling system can effectively guide the selection of emulsion components, either using the PS biocomplex alone or in combination with type II emulsifiers, thus streamlining the development process of emulsion products.
