It found that HOTAIR rs10783618*C/C and MALAT1 rs3200401*T/T were linked to increased SLE risk, while MALAT1 rs3200401*T/C was associated with decreased risk. HOTAIR rs10783618*C/C was also linked to arthritis and oral ulcers, and rs10783618*T/T was associated with hair loss, weight loss, and neurological symptoms. These findings suggest that HOTAIR and MALAT1 polymorphisms may serve as molecular markers for SLE susceptibility and severity.
