February 2023 in “Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology” Experts advise using sunscreen and proper skin care before, during, and after procedures to speed healing, prevent complications, and reduce scarring.
5 citations,
April 2022 in “Pharmaceutics” The study demonstrated that a 5% minoxidil nanoparticle (MXD-NPs) formulation significantly enhanced hair growth in C57BL/6 mice compared to conventional minoxidil solutions. MXD-NPs, with a mean particle size of 139.8 nm, delivered 7.4 times higher concentrations of minoxidil to the hair bulge, leading to increased activation of hair follicle epithelial stem cells (HFSC). This resulted in higher mRNA and protein levels of hair growth factors IGF-1 and VEGF, and noticeable hair growth effects within 8 days. The findings suggest that MXD-NPs are more effective in promoting hair growth by targeting hair follicles, offering a promising treatment for androgenetic alopecia (AGA).
