The study explores the protective effects of conditioned medium from immortalized human stem cells from exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHED-CM) against hair graying caused by X-ray irradiation in mice. Repeated administrations of SHED-CM significantly reduced hair graying and oxidative stress, attributed to its antioxidative activity involving hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) and possibly vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). SHED-CM also protected cells from X-ray-induced damage, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic agent for preventing hair graying and protecting against oxidative damage. Further research is needed to optimize its application and ensure safety.
