TLDR Photobiomodulation increases hair density in 5 weeks for androgenetic alopecia.
The study investigated the effects of photobiomodulation (PBM) on androgenetic alopecia (AGA) in 25 men aged 20-54. Using a red low-level laser, treatments were conducted twice a week for 10 weeks. Hair density was assessed at the start, after 5 weeks, and after 10 weeks. Results showed a significant increase in hair density after 5 weeks, but no further increase after 10 weeks. The study concluded that PBM effectively stimulates hair density within 5 weeks, but additional sessions do not enhance this effect, indicating PBM as a safe and efficient treatment for AGA with a limited number of sessions.
