TLDR Oral Minoxidil effectively treats male pattern baldness.
The study conducted at MTI-Hayatabad Medical Complex evaluated the efficacy of oral Minoxidil 5 mg daily in treating androgenic alopecia in 61 male patients aged 18-60. Over four months, 90.2% of participants showed significant improvement, defined as at least a 1-grade increase on the Norwood–Hamilton scale. The treatment's effectiveness was consistent across various demographic and clinical subgroups, with no significant association between efficacy and patient characteristics. This suggests that oral Minoxidil is a highly effective treatment for androgenic alopecia in males.
