TLDR High-frequency ultrasound effectively evaluates and diagnoses frontal fibrosing alopecia.
High-frequency ultrasound (HFUS) is effective in characterizing frontal fibrosing alopecia (FFA) by quantitatively assessing dermal atrophy and the miniaturization and shrinkage of hair follicles. It also aids in diagnosing subclinical inflammation, providing a comprehensive tool for evaluating FFA.
