TLDR The methods accurately measure finasteride in different forms.
The study focused on optimizing and validating spectrophotometric methods for determining finasteride in both dosage and biological forms. Three methods, labeled A, B, and C, were developed and tested for their ability to accurately measure finasteride even in the presence of its oxidative degradation products. The recovery rates for these methods were high, ranging from 99.0% to 101.4% for method A, 99.2% to 101.6% for method B, and 99.6% to 101.0% for method C, indicating that the methods were effective and reliable for the intended purpose.
