This review highlights the significant role of multiomics—an integrated approach combining genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics—in understanding the complex mechanisms of skin repair and regeneration. Multiomics provides insights into genetic, gene, protein, and metabolic changes during wound healing, identifying novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets. Despite challenges, multiomics holds promise for advancing personalized medicine and improving wound healing strategies, potentially revolutionizing treatments in plastic surgery and beyond through interdisciplinary collaboration.
