TLDR Method measures latanoprost and minoxidil in skin accurately and precisely.
The paper presents a bioanalytical method for the simultaneous determination of latanoprost and minoxidil in the skin using LC-MS. The method was found to be selective, linear, sensitive, and precise during all analyses. Recovery experiments achieved high levels of drugs extracted from the skin, and prepared drug samples remained stable for 30 days in the refrigerator, even in the presence of interferents. In vitro skin permeation assays proved the method's value in the development of topical formulations containing minoxidil sulphate and latanoprost.
