The study presents a multifunctional ATAN-Met hydrogel system designed to enhance the healing of infective diabetic wounds by promoting re-epithelialization, neurovascular and hair follicle regeneration, and providing antibacterial and immunoregulatory effects. The hydrogel, which responds to high glucose and reactive oxygen species for drug release, demonstrated self-healing and wearable properties. It effectively recruited mesenchymal stem cells, facilitated their interaction with neural cells, regulated macrophage polarization, and modulated the wound microenvironment. The system activated the Hippo pathway and inhibited the TNF pathway, improving wound healing outcomes. These findings suggest that the ATAN-Met hydrogel holds significant promise for managing infective diabetic wounds.
