Hemp, traditionally used for fiber, is rich in over 500 phytochemicals such as cannabinoids and terpenes, which have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, and antimicrobial properties. These compounds, found in hemp's leaves, flowers, and seeds, are being researched for pharmaceutical potential and have applications in agrochemicals as natural insecticides, cosmetics for skin and hair care, and food supplements. This review provides an overview of hemp's applications in these sectors, contributing to the discussion on sustainable uses of hemp by-products.
