TLDR Exosomes show promise for improving wound healing, reducing aging signs, preventing hair loss, and lightening skin but require more research and better production methods.
Exosomes, nano vesicles secreted by cells, have potential applications in medical aesthetics, particularly in wound repair, anti-aging, hyperpigmentation inhibition, and hair loss prevention. They promote wound repair, reduce inflammation, accelerate tissue remodeling, and inhibit scar formation. They can also regulate gene expression. For hair loss, exosomes can induce hair follicle regeneration by promoting the proliferation of dermal papilla cells and affecting hair follicle signaling pathways. Topical application or local injection of exosomes can be enhanced by microneedles or transdermal drug delivery. However, the field is still in the early stages of research, and challenges remain due to the high cost of separation procedures, low purity of exosomes, and the need for appropriate storage methods. Future research is needed to determine the ideal storage conditions for exosomes, improve their efficacy, and develop large-scale preparation technology.

The user has been on a comprehensive hair loss treatment regimen for four years, including Dutasteride, topical and oral Minoxidil, and various other treatments, but has seen little progress and is considering a hair transplant. Despite trying multiple therapies, including PRP and exosome injections, the user is still experiencing hair thinning and is hesitant about trying peptides due to potential cancer risks.
