TLDR Exosomes can improve skin health and offer new treatments for skin repair and rejuvenation.
Exosomes, nanoscale vesicles derived from cells, played a significant role in skin health by carrying biomolecules that facilitate communication between cells. They were crucial in both physiological and pathological skin development. Endogenic exosomes influenced skin stability and function, while exogenous exosomes, such as those from stem cells, offered promising new treatments for skin repair, regeneration, and rejuvenation. Understanding the mechanisms of exosomes in the skin microenvironment had the potential to lead to innovative therapeutic methods in dermatology and cutaneous medical aesthetics.
