TLDR Combining botulinum toxin type A with Minoxidil significantly improves hair growth and patient satisfaction in male hair loss.
The study evaluated the effectiveness and safety of combining botulinum toxin type A (BTA) with topical Minoxidil for treating male androgenetic alopecia (AGA) in 60 male patients. The treatment group, receiving BTA injections and 5% Minoxidil, showed significant hair growth improvements and higher patient satisfaction at the 4th and 6th months compared to the control group, which received only 5% Minoxidil. No adverse reactions were reported, indicating that the combination treatment is both effective and safe for promoting hair growth and enhancing quality of life in male AGA patients.
