The study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a small dose of botulinum toxin A (Botox) for treating androgenetic alopecia (AGA) in Chinese male patients. 25 male outpatients aged 30-45 years with AGA were included in the study. All subjects were injected with 50 units of Botox into the muscles surrounding the scalp, including the frontalis, temporalis, periauricular, and occipitalis muscles, in equally divided doses at a minimum of 30 injection sites. The results showed that a small dose of Botox was effective and safe in Chinese patients with AGA, with no adverse effects reported.
