TLDR New hair loss treatment using marine collagen and dissolvable needles improves hair growth.
The study developed a novel treatment for Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA) using marine collagen peptides (MCPs) delivered through dissolvable microneedles. MCPs, known for their rich nutritional composition and biological activity, have been shown to promote healthy skin and hair growth. The microneedle technique allows for efficient delivery of these peptides to the hair follicles, stimulating hair growth and increasing hair density. The study found that this treatment not only increased the efficiency of collagen peptide penetration but also stimulated the production of beneficial factors on hair follicles by creating micro invasions in the skin. The combined action of collagen peptides and microneedles synergistically augments collagen production within the treatment area, creating a more favorable environment for hair follicles and promoting hair growth. The study concluded that this method effectively alleviated AGA symptoms and enhanced the quality of newly formed hair.
