A Delphi consensus of hair specialists issued recommendations on low-dose oral minoxidil covering dosing, contraindications and monitoring. In a randomized trial, adding PRP to hair transplantation improved follicle survival and hair strength in androgenetic alopecia. A retrospective series found FUE transplantation in men gave over 90% follicle survival at 12 months. A systematic review reported injectable minoxidil effective in pattern hair loss. Another review found laser and light therapies increased hair density across alopecia types. In severe alopecia areata, baricitinib against traditional therapies showed greater efficacy at six months, and guidance on ritlecitinib in adolescents reported half reached minimal scalp hair loss by week 48, with headache, acne and nasopharyngitis the most common side effects.
