Fractional CO2 laser plus growth factors raised hair density more than growth factors alone in men. A dual-wavelength laser scanner increased terminal hair density slightly more than a laser hat. PRP injections in women improved hair density and thickness over placebo. Laser-comb therapy with minoxidil outperformed either treatment alone in women. Overweight smokers showed about six times higher odds of moderate-to-severe pattern hair loss. Adipose stem-cell conditioned medium gave good regrowth results in Japanese patients. Latanoprost for alopecia areata beat vehicle and boosted steroid efficacy. Micronutrients in alopecia areata tended lower, but evidence was too weak for supplementation recommendations.
