JetPeel-assisted minoxidil in AGA was found to improve hair growth scores over minoxidil alone in a randomized pilot study. Homologous PRP for AGA raised hair density more than autologous PRP in a comparative study. An IL-1a polymorphism in PRP patients was associated with treatment response, suggesting a prognostic marker. A topical botanical lotion increased hair density and anagen-to-telogen ratio in a randomized trial in women. Platelet lysate in follicular grafts regenerated more hair than activated PRP or saline in transplant patients. Frequent raw vegetables and fresh herbs were associated with roughly halved AGA risk in a case-control study. Early-onset balding was linked to higher odds of aggressive prostate cancer and earlier diagnosis. A 71-loci GWAS explained 38% of male-pattern baldness risk.
