    The Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS) is a part of the autonomic nervous system that prepares the body for "fight or flight" responses during stressful situations. It increases heart rate, dilates pupils, and redirects blood flow to muscles, among other functions, to help the body respond quickly to perceived threats.
