The study presents a flexible, self-powered triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) wound patch designed to accelerate wound healing by combining electrostimulation and photothermal effects. The patch is made from a conductive hydrogel composed of polyacrylamide and polydopamine, enhanced with multi-walled carbon nanotubes, providing high conductivity, stretchability, and biocompatibility. In a rodent model with full-thickness dorsal skin wounds, the patch effectively promoted wound repair and hair follicle regeneration by reducing inflammation, enhancing collagen deposition, and supporting vascular regeneration and epithelialization under near-infrared light. This multifunctional e-patch offers a promising approach to improve wound healing processes.
