    Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT), also known as Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT), is a medical procedure used to replace damaged or destroyed bone marrow with healthy bone marrow stem cells. This treatment is often used for patients with certain cancers like leukemia or lymphoma, as well as other blood or immune system disorders. The healthy stem cells can come from the patient (autologous transplant) or a donor (allogeneic transplant).
