    Glaucoma medication refers to drugs used to manage and treat glaucoma, a condition characterized by increased intraocular pressure that can lead to optic nerve damage and vision loss. These medications, which include prostaglandin analogs, beta-blockers, alpha agonists, and carbonic anhydrase inhibitors, work by either reducing the production of aqueous humor (the fluid in the eye) or increasing its outflow, thereby lowering intraocular pressure.
