TLDR Bone marrow stem cells and their medium help hair regrowth.
The study investigated the effects of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BMSC) and their conditioned medium (MSC-CM) on hair follicle regeneration in C57BL/6 mice. Both treatments significantly promoted the transition from the telogen to anagen phase, increased hair follicle length, and stimulated hair follicle stem cell proliferation. Proteomic analysis identified key proteins involved in hair regeneration, suggesting that BMSC and MSC-CM could be promising therapeutic approaches for treating hair loss.

Stem cell treatments for hair restoration can be effective, but results vary and depend on factors like the type of stem cells used and timing of treatment. PRP and exosomes have shown some success, while costs and effectiveness differ by location, with South Korea and Turkey offering more affordable options.
