TLDR Method accurately measures finasteride in tablets using finasteride-BSA interaction.
This paper describes a spectrofluorimetric method for measuring finasteride in tablet dosage form using the interaction between finasteride and bovine serum albumin (BSA). The method is accurate, precise, and sensitive, with a limit of detection of 0.16 μg mL-1 and a limit of quantification of 0.49 µg mL-1. The study also determined the binding mode and binding sites of finasteride and BSA, as well as the thermodynamic parameters and binding forces of the interaction. The method provides a quantitative determination of finasteride in tablet dosage form.
