TLDR Polymeric micelle nanocarriers deliver adapalene more effectively to hair follicles than commercial products.
The study aimed to enhance the delivery of adapalene (ADA) to the pilosebaceous unit (PSU) using polymeric micelle nanocarriers. Researchers prepared micelles with D-α-tocopheryl polyethylene glycol succinate diblock copolymer, significantly increasing ADA's solubility. Stability tests and finite dose experiments on porcine and human skin showed that micelle formulations delivered ADA more efficiently to the PSU compared to commercial products. Follicular delivery studies confirmed that micelle formulations achieved higher ADA concentrations in the PSU, supported by confocal laser scanning microscopy. The findings suggested that polymeric micelle nanocarriers could improve treatment of follicular diseases and reduce side effects.

Using retinol with minoxidil may not be as effective as tretinoin, but retinaldehyde or adapalene could be alternatives. A micro-roller with minoxidil is suggested for better results.

The conversation discusses a hair loss treatment regimen including 5% minoxidil, 2.5mg oral minoxidil, 1mg finasteride, tretinoin cream, derma stamping, derma rolling, scalp massagers, and a mix of vitamins and minerals. The user also considers using maca and adapalene, with advice on potential scalp irritation and the effectiveness of these treatments.
