TLDR No link found between specific genes and female pattern hair loss.
This study investigated the association between certain genetic variants related to sex hormones and steroid-5-alpha-reductase genes and female pattern hair loss (FPHL). The study found no significant association between these genetic variants and FPHL, suggesting that these genes may not be involved in the development of FPHL. The study recommends future genetic studies of FPHL to include systematic genome-wide approaches.
