TLDR QR678 treatments were more effective and comfortable for male hair loss than PRP treatments.
In a comparative study involving 50 male patients aged 25-50 with Male Androgenetic Alopecia, participants were divided into two groups of 25, with Group A receiving QR678 formulations and Group B receiving PRP treatments. The study found that after 6 months, the QR678 group exhibited a 100% reduction in hair fall, improved hair density, terminal hair density, vellus hair density, and shaft diameter, with these results being maintained for 1 year. Global assessment scores for the QR678 group increased from a mean of 5 at baseline to 7.5 at 6 months and 8 at 1 year, while PRP scores decreased from 6 at 6 months to 4 at 1 year. Patient self-assessment also indicated a preference for QR678 over PRP. Additionally, 88% of patients in the PRP group reported pain during injection, compared to 28% in the QR678 group. No serious side effects were reported, although some PRP patients experienced minor side effects. The study concluded that QR678 is a more effective and comfortable treatment for male androgenetic alopecia than PRP, with potential applicability to female androgenetic alopecia, and suggested further long-term comparative studies.
