TLDR Parental uveitis causes hair loss in offspring of C57BL/6J mice.
The study investigated the impact of parental uveitis on offspring in C57BL/6J mice, revealing that parental uveitis led to hair loss in the offspring. The research identified differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in the skin and eyes of the offspring, which were enriched in pathways related to skin development, nervous system development, and the PPAR signaling pathway. These findings provided molecular evidence for the influence of parental uveitis on offspring development, highlighting changes in hair follicle development and melanin granules in the skin. The study did not find increased susceptibility to experimental autoimmune uveitis (EAU) in the offspring at a low-dose induction.
