    Melanin granules, also known as melanin pigments, are tiny particles produced by specialized cells called melanocytes. These granules are responsible for the coloration of skin, hair, and eyes by absorbing and scattering light. The amount and type of melanin granules determine an individual's pigmentation, playing a crucial role in protecting the skin from UV radiation.
