TLDR Exosomes from human stem cells can help regrow hair in mice.
The study investigates the effects of exosomes derived from human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUCMSC-exos) on hair regrowth in mice. The hUCMSC-exos were extracted and used to treat depilation-induced hair regrowth in C57BL/6 mice. Results showed that hUCMSC-exos significantly promoted fibroblast proliferation and accelerated hair regrowth by upregulating hair follicle stem/progenitor cells and activating the Wnt/β-catenin pathway. These findings suggest that hUCMSC-exos could be a potential therapeutic approach for treating hair loss disorders.
