TLDR lncRNAs are important for understanding and treating skin diseases.
Recent genomic research has revealed that long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are crucial regulators of gene expression, influencing key signaling pathways such as PI3K/AKT/mTOR and Wnt/β-catenin, which are vital for skin homeostasis and disease processes. This review highlights the role of lncRNAs in dermatological disorders like atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and melanoma, suggesting their potential as biomarkers and therapeutic targets. The study emphasizes the clinical relevance of lncRNA research in understanding and treating skin diseases.
