    The study explores the hair growth-promoting effects of Hydrangea serrata extract (WHS) and its active component, hydrangenol, using in vitro and in vivo models, including C57BL/6 mice and human skin organoids. WHS and hydrangenol were found to inhibit 5α-reductase activity, stimulate dermal papilla cell growth, and enhance the expression of hair growth-related genes. They also exhibited anti-inflammatory and anti-androgenic properties. In mice, WHS improved hair growth parameters over 3 weeks, and in human skin organoids, it stimulated hair formation. These findings suggest WHS as a promising nutraceutical for hair health, although further clinical trials are needed to validate these results in humans.
