TLDR Minoxidil microinfusion lowered diastolic blood pressure in patients.
This study investigated the systemic effects of minoxidil microinfusion on blood pressure in 24 patients with female pattern alopecia. Participants were divided into two groups, receiving either 0.5% minoxidil or a saline solution as a control, with treatments administered over three monthly sessions. Results showed a statistically significant reduction in diastolic blood pressure in the minoxidil group, indicating systemic absorption of the drug. Conversely, the control group experienced a significant increase in systolic blood pressure, likely due to pain from the procedure.
