This systematic review examines treatments for androgenetic alopecia (AAG), affecting 70% of adult men and 50% of women. The review included 15 articles and found that oral Dutasteride is more effective than oral Finasteride, though both have significant side effects. Topical Finasteride is a viable option for men with fewer adverse effects. Topical Latanoprost increases hair count, and Cetirizine is effective for maintenance with low side effects. Stem cell treatment is comparable to Minoxidil and Finasteride, while Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) aids in hair regeneration. Low-level light therapy (LLLT) has no adverse effects and good adherence. Topical Minoxidil 5% is the most effective treatment, with enhanced results when combined with other drugs and procedures.
