TLDR Hair transplantation improves life quality and self-esteem in men with male pattern baldness.
The document reviews the effects of hair transplantation on the quality of life and psychological outcomes of male patients with androgenetic alopecia (AAG). After evaluating 1,375 studies, the authors found 5 that met their criteria. The results show that AAG significantly impacts the psychosocial aspects of male patients. However, surgical intervention for hair restoration has positive effects, improving these individuals' quality of life. The authors conclude that hair transplantation is the most effective method for managing baldness signs, positively influencing appearance, self-esteem, social performance, quality of life, and the patient's psychological context. They recommend more scientific investigations on the topic.
