The study recommends assessing insulin resistance and cardiovascular-related features and disorders in all young males with stage III or higher AGA, according to the Hamilton-Norwood classification. The study suggests that AGA may be a marker for insulin resistance and that young men with AGA should be screened for metabolic disorders.
