Over 6 months, the supplementation significantly reduced body mass index (BMI), testosterone, free testosterone, and dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEAS) levels, improving the clinical picture of acne and hirsutism. Quality of life, assessed using the Cardiff Acne Disability Index (CADI) and Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI), improved significantly, and the Ferriman-Gallwey score for hirsutism showed notable improvement. The study concluded that myo-inositol with microlipodispersed magnesium is effective in reducing acne and hirsutism in PCOS patients without side effects, suggesting excellent compliance. Further long-term randomized clinical trials are recommended to confirm these findings.
